EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
We have a vibrant and diverse range of co-curricular activities and active Clubs to support the students. We believe that together with academic rigour and sporting opportunities, co-curricular action helps in the holistic development of young children. Learning, making mistakes, failures and successes are a critical part of growth. Our school holds many festivals around different disciplines to enhance learning within the classroom. We believe that a holistic education includes exposure to cross disciplinary events; our students learn many important skills and lessons while organising, conducting and participating in these.

CLUBS & HOUSES
Non-scholastic activities render an opportunity to correlate academic skills with the real-world context. Featured and creative curriculum facilitate children to learn better Social Skills, incorporate Critical Thinking and work as a Team. As a top CBSE school, we have designed a number of clubs and houses for the young Chinmayites. This has helped to awaken cultural awareness and the development of the aesthetic senses. The clubs include- Literary Club, Maths Club, Science Club, Eco-Club, Music Club, Reading Club, Quiz Club and Sports Club.
To offer students the opportunity to connect with students across classes and grades, the house system is followed. The school is divided into four houses, named after the sacred rivers, Godavari, Yamuna, Ganga and Saraswathy and each student is allotted one house. Houses compete with one another at sports and other intra-school competitions thus providing a focus for group loyalty. At CVK we have a year-long programme of inter-house events, in which each house “hosts” an event at which all houses compete, with points contributing to the award of the House Cup at the end of the year. This helps students gain more friendship and create a family-like culture at our school.

Our school magazine reflect the identity of our vidyalaya assimilating the elmental values of CVP through the writings of its students and teachers as well. To prick and praise the little creative minds, Chinmaya offers proper channels to its learners with the school magazine ‘EXPRESSIONS’ every year so that their creativity and imagination erupt like a volcano from where flows the wonderful literary works. The magazine published annually provide a wonderful platform for these young potentials to showcase their talent as writers and express themselves into a conglomeration.
