REVIEW OF NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY, 2020
The new National Education Policy 2020 proposes the revision and revamping of all aspects of education in India.ChinmayaVidyalaya, Kannamalyimbibed the key aspects of the policy from the beginning of the Academic year 2021 – 22. We have started the Pre – KG class for the age group of 3 during this academic year with 3 students in the first batch. The first 5 years of Foundational learning starting from KG 1 to Class II was grouped together.
To increase the emphasis on Foundational literacy and to bridge the learning gap in reading and writing skills (that arises due to the online classes), special offline coaching and care is provided to students of KG to Class II focusing the development of reading and writing skills from November, 2021.
NEP suggests minimum 50 hours of Professional Development for teachers during an academic year. Teachers of our Vidyalayahas completed 50 hours of CPD.
NEP 2020 stated that sufficient focus must be shifted towards Indian and regional languages and Sanskrit language would be mainstreamed in the education system as per the New Policy. And so, our Vidyalaya is introducing Sanskrit language from Grade 3 onwards.
We are already focusing on experiential learning and learning outcome based on 21st century skills.
